The Ideal Pokémon Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution Based on the Zodiac Sign
This comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has ignited immense enthusiasm within the community. Starting with the gradual unveiling of fresh additions before the game's release, to trainers developing strong views on the entire roster of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to look forward to.
With many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing distinctive appearances that highlight their traits, one thought came to mind: How can link this with zodiac signs? The following is based on a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
The Ram – Mega Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was almost chosen for Aries, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the greatest apprehension. But, a Mega Houndoom comes across as always furious, which doesn't match the Ram's energy, renowned for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. That's why Aries far more akin to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when angered. Remain on the good side of either and enjoy a strong partner; should you offend them, prepare to face the consequences.
Taurus – Mega Heracross
Much like a loyal Taurus, the reliable Heracross species, whether in its standard and Mega form, has aided numerous trainers in Legends: Z-A. Though trustworthy, both the creature and a Taurus are also battle-oriented, and – be it their companion or a firm belief – will stand up for their position to the end. What about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unabashed love of snacks. Many previous official descriptions note their craving for tasty sap and how it employs its horn to hoard it all, which is true Taurus energy.
Gemini – Super Medicham
Observe this absolute royalty. You cannot tell me this creature is not the soul of every party, offering an constant stream of chatter to anyone who wants to hear. Just like an captivating, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly easy to imagine Mega Medicham captivating an whole Wild Zone with their stories. Medicham’s official description also states its capacity to predict an opponent's next moves, which seems quite like a people-smart Twins.
The Crab – Mega Manectric
Cancer is commonly considered as the most emotional member of the astrological wheel, a passionate symbol famous for frequently getting absorbed in their emotions. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution charges the creature with a “tremendous quantity of energy, but it's excessive for Manectric to completely control,” which sounds a lot like a classic Cancer crash-out. It is also recognized for its ability to make a storm cloud over its own self – and if there’s one thing a Cancer is likely to do, it’s rain on their good time.
The Lion – Super Starmie
Well, did you assume I was planning to select the lion Pokémon for the lion of the zodiac? Besides the fact that it would be far too obvious, The Lion is clearly Super Starmie, the star whose gams just became an internet sensation for being extremely glamorous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Players couldn’t look away from the purple starfish, and that’s exactly the same energy a Leo offers to the table. This Pokémon is also said to be transmitting signals from its red core out into space, and it’s typical of a Leo to be staging a performance, even if for aliens.
The Maiden – Super Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally represented in Super Victreebel, the Super Form with constant acid reflux. The sign famous for being endearingly judgmental is clearly mirrored across this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised face like a Virgo when you tell them you don’t have a retirement plan, to its upside-down visage that’s just like the emoji a Virgo sends to the group chat when everyone says they want to “go with the flow” instead of making a plan.
Libra – Mega Audino
Observe this sweet, empathetic being, who uses the feelers on its ears to tell how others are emotionally by their heartbeat. Consistently compassionate – sometimes to a fault – and trying to keep the peace, there are many Libras who would probably benefit from Super Audino's skills. However, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them worry even more about everyone else.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a creature with a surprisingly sad backstory: Abandoned as a doll, it gained sentient through pure hatred and swore revenge on its previous caretaker. Per the official info, Mega Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That sounds exactly like several discussions I’ve had with my intense Scorpio acquaintances. A Scorpion loves karma and retribution, making them the perfect pair with Super Banette.
The Archer – Mega Hawlucha
Both Mega Hawlucha and Archers are constantly putting on a show. Being a Archer personally, the number of times I’ve referred to myself some version of a “silly little jester” is innumerable. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “flexes to show off its strength.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can think of.
The Goat – Super Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the power to foresee disasters in advance? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who tends to always think they’re correct. The thing is, much like a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Mega Evolution that trainers meet in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Detached air sign Aquarius is possibly the non-flame placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame typing matches perfectly with this, and the Mega’s overall daunting aura is also extremely Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Mega’s description says it “absorbs hatred and transforms it into strength.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
