Performer Rejects Anti-Vaccine Position Following Voicing Controversial Pandemic Film

The "Taken" star has provided his vocal talents to a new documentary that challenges the safety of vaccinations and commends one-time health official Robert F Kennedy Jr.

The Film's Disputed Basis

Named "Plague of Corruption," the project is inspired by a popular book written by a controversial scientist, who gained notoriety during the global outbreak for claims that Covid was a result of a faulty batch of the seasonal immunization.

Her co-author, the executive producer, has previously authored books with conspiracy-prone figure Alex Jones. He took to social media hailing Neeson's participation in the project.

A Strong Rebuttal

A spokesperson for the actor have released a comment strongly denying suggestions that he holds anti-vax beliefs.

"Everyone can recognize that misconduct might be present within the pharmaceutical industry, but that cannot be confused with rejection of vaccines," the statement states. "Liam never has been, and cannot be described as, against vaccines. His considerable work with Unicef underscores his enduring support for public-health initiatives."

The statement continued that the performer did not shape the documentary's editorial content and that inquiries about its content ought to go to the creators.

Major Claims In the Feature

In the film, the voiceover read by Neeson features several controversial points:

  • It suggests that pro-immunization voices have demanded "blind obedience" to public institutions.
  • It posits that "research has become deeply politicized."
  • Robert F Kennedy Jr is featured claiming, "The major issue with vaccines is that they are not adequately tested."
  • The narration also criticizes pandemic restrictions, arguing they caused severe distress that resulted in thousands of lives.
  • Concerning the immunizations, it mentions a perspective that they were "developed too quickly" and seen as "dangerous experiments."

Previous Context and Current Debates

The documentary also references a past television report about clinical trials on children, which was later the focus of a correction by the network for editorial breaches.

Last month, Kennedy instructed the national health agency to alter its longstanding position that there is no connection between immunizations and autism spectrum disorder. This assertion is repeated in the documentary, even with a fresh analysis from the WHO confirming no connection has been found.

A Past Statement of Support

Standing in contrast to the documentary's tone, Neeson has formerly shown firm endorsement for vaccines in his position as a charity ambassador.

Two years ago, he called vaccines as "an incredible human success story," adding that "The debate about vaccines in the past few years has overlooked how much positive impact they have done... It is perhaps one of the biggest collective achievements in our history."

The film concludes with Neeson's voice proclaiming, "This isn't the end of our journey. Rather, it is the dawn of a different phase."
