David Walliams lost his contract with longtime publisher.
Prolific young adult author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, the company has said.
An official for the firm said: "After careful consideration, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing any new titles by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was reached following an investigation into reports of conduct deemed unsuitable involving female individuals.
The firm did not confirm the reasons for its decision, adding: "We do not comment on private personnel issues."
A Prolific Literary Career
Walliams ranks among Britain's most successful children's authors, having sold over six tens of millions of copies globally in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, was published by HarperCollins in 2008.
A number of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into TV movies.
To date, he has released over four dozen titles altogether, including a holiday title titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
Television and Literature
His career breakthrough occurred on the television comedy show *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his work as a judge on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 honoring his contributions to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
